Excellent craftsmanship, but still usable. Yes this blade is crafted beautifully but its not just for show, the blade is very useful and I use it on camping trips and at my cabin frequently. As expected with 1095 steel the blade holds an excellent edge.

My two concerns are with the handle and the top snap on the sheath.

For me the handle is slightly too thin, when using the machete the thin slippery handle doesn't allow me to get full power behind the object I'm trying to cut. I don't know how that could be fixed and I'll leave that up to the experts. I will say, the more I use it and the dirtier the handle gets the better my grip got.. but its still not letting me get full power on my swing.

Secondly the top snap on the sheath takes two hands to unsnap, and for me that's not ideal. When I'm working I just leave it unsnapped now because of this. I think I will be putting some stitching through the leather band to secure the top snap, that should prevent it from rotating while I'm trying to unsnap it. Again whatever fix the experts come up with would be fine with me.

I just wanted to point those two issues because I truly think you guys are great manufacturers, bit I hope you can take my criticism and make your brand even better.

Keep up the hard work, I've already ordered more knives for my wife from you guys, and will probably be ordering knives for all my groomsmen as well.

The pattern on this blade is absolutely gorgeous!
The only thing I would have liked to have seen is more contrast on the handle. Maybe wood & bone would have looked even better.

This was my first B&B purchase a month or so ago, and I could not be happier! The blade and handle are beautiful. The size is great, without having to carry a longer machete and works great for lighter needs but I'm sure will do he trick for most any job you need a machete for. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade puts on a good edge. Lots of instant character like the other B&B products I have. I just received two daggers last and they are awesome as well! Out of the box these products look and feel like they are much older, and I like that!!
